Best Toothbrush I’ve Ever Used -So Clean
Very impressed by the cleaning I’m achieving with this toothbrush. I was using a basic Oral B electric toothbrush for last 2 years and before that a high end Sonic Care. I’m very impressed with the cleaning power of even a more basic Oral B over Sonic Care. I really think the round heads make major difference. The iO series of toothbrushes are really great & made my dental cleaning so easy. My friend suggested an iO3 that she’s used for over year but I bought the iO5 because such a great sale and interest free monthly payment plan.I didn’t have any bleeding with standard head and right amount of pressure but if you’re not used to an electric brush keep that in mind.I don’t always use the app but it has a lot of information in it and can tell you which tooth you’ve not cleaned enough. I did use it the first week I had it so I could see how to properly brush. Even without the app the lights on the brush show you if you’re pressing too hard or soft, time to brush 2 full minutes.The battery lasts a long time if you don’t want to leave stand plugged in.

Better than Phillips Sonicare. App is actually useful and not just a gimmick.
So, I’m a long-time user of Sonicare, which means I’ve gone through a number of them that always tend to break right at warranty expiry. Though I usually find them on sale, they are not cheap, nor are the brushes, and for the price they are still so prone to breaking down and various issues. So, when my current one started to have an issue (turning on randomly on its own, startling all around), I started shopping for a replacement. This Oral B brush went on sale, so I decided to check it out – maybe return if it wasn’t all that great in comparison. At first, I was a little confused, because I thought these brushes mainly worked by rotation, but they are both that and sonication. I don’t know if the vibration speed matches to Sonicare, but it doesn’t seem critical. One immediate thing I noticed was the light ring which instantly lets you know if you are pressing too hard or not enough. As somebody with gum issues, this is appreciated. Next thing, do set up and try out the app. I was skeptical, but it really does a good job of figuring out what part of your mouth you are brushing, apparently by some kind of bluetooth-based sonar and something in the brush that can tell if it’s facing up or down. It’s not to the level of knowing which tooth, but it maps the front and two sides of both the top and bottom of your mouth, which is still pretty detailed. Rather than just using some kind of timer, it tracks that you spend the proper amount of time in each of the 6 regions. Your coverage within each region is then up to you. Sure, there are some times when it is a bit off, but I find that that tends to happen if I turn my head. So if you keep your head still, it seems to work more accurately. Not too hard to do. Besides the main brush tracking, you can set specific goals, and it will add recommendations for other steps like tongue brushing and flossing. I started a program for plaque removal. So now, instead of brushing or not kind of mindlessly in the shower one a day, I have started brushing twice a day, with more intention, and it’s even slightly fun. And so far, my teeth feel smoother and cleaner. I also get less gum bleed, perhaps due to avoiding pressing too hard. I think this is still a bit pricey at full price, but maybe in this case it could be worth it for the improvement in your teeth and gum health. On sale, I can definitely recommend. Will it last long term? We’ll see.

My roommate was raving about this toothbrush that he bought for himself a month ago. He knows I try to take good care of my teeth, and encouraged me to consider getting one, I’ve been using a manual toothbrush for my entire adult life. I had a ver basic electric toothbrush when I was a teenager, but it was not great, so I was skeptical, as I thought I did a pretty great job caring for my teeth with a manual one, but OH MY GOD was I wrong!I took a leap of faith and bought the io 5 with three different heads. I got it on sale.Well, very first time I used it, I felt like I had gone to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned and polished. My teeth feel sooooo good. I am currently also using the app, which is sorta fun, it maps out and tracks where you have brushed and how long, and the pressure guide is very helpful! It also tracks flossing, tongue cleaning and mouth wash rinsing, and you get trophies for completing a full mouth cleaning routine. It’s really helped me to commit to consistent oral care.If you don’t have benefits to get dental cleanings, I genuinely and honestly strongly suggest that you get this toothbrush. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever need to go get a dental cleaning done now that I have this tooth brush. Also, if you don’t have dental benefits, it is very much in your best interest to get this toothbrush, as dental repair is very expensive and having this brush is likely going to greatly reduce your risk of serious tooth problems.Also, I learned that it has a dual oscillating plus micro vibrations, which is why it cleans so well.I will undoubtedly buy another one of these when the time comes, maybe even level up and get the top of the line.Have only had it for a few days, so I can’t speak for its longevity or durability yet, but if it craps out, I’ll update my review.Seriously, do yourself a favour and get this toothbrush.

I’ve always loved these toothbrushes as they seem to provide a much deeper clean for teeth when compared to a regular manual toothbrush. You can see and feel the difference. Noise level is the same as any other of these types of toothbrush, very minimal noise. Toothbrush vibrates at every 30 second interval, and then will vibrate multiple times at the 2 minute mark, so you always get a 2 minute cleaning if you follow those intervals. I cannot really speak on the battery life as it has never been used without a full charge or transported. My single only complaint about this, is that I absolutely hate the toothbrush head holder. It collects water, and is super flimsy. I will probably be looking to switch that out. Other than that, I highly recommend.
