Just got this and plugged it in to give it a try…wow. Heats up so fast and the titanium plates are the only way to go for me…smooth as I move the straightener through my hair…no dragging. Great price point and lovely product!

Great little flat iron / horrible design for control buttons
I have thick, coarse, stubborn hair that I flat iron every day. I bought this particular flat iron for my bangs, I use the larger size of the same brand for my hair. These flat irons heat up really fast, and the heat is consistent, they don’t get cooler as you use them like some will. The cord is plenty long enough and the cord on this model doesn’t seem to get tangled up. I’ve used others where the cords will curl up as you’re using them, this one doesn’t do that. I would give it a full 5 star rating except for one thing, and it is kind of a biggie. The placement of the on/off and heating controls are exactly where you hold it when using it so you have to adjust your grip or you can easily change the heat setting or if held long enough (about 5 seconds), you can accidentally turn it off. Otherwise it’s an awesome flat iron! It straightens my coarse hair with one swipe every time. I’ve been able to get used to holding it different to avoid the controls.

This is a really nice and light straightener. The downside is that the power button is in the exact place where your thumb or finger wants to go when using it so it is continually turning on/off.
