Easy, Smart, Pretty Coverage
I’ve bought this product a couple of times now. Definitely put it in your cart or on a list to be alerted when it goes on sale. It is the best product I’ve found so far for what it provides: sunscreen, coverage, and easy application. Some of the products I’ve tried before have been cakey or the color doesn’t really blend. This one does. It goes on smooth and the color match for me was spot on. My skin is especially sensitive to cancer possibilities so I keep one in my purse and one in my beachbag.

TLDR: This sunscreen compact is a sensitive skin dream. If you are allergic to typical sunscreen or you have very sensitive skin. This Sun screen compact is a must have. No scent. Matte finish.It is by far the best thing I’ve ever found on Amazon. I love Avene products for my finicky skin period. Details on other Avene products below…I have super duper sensitive skin. I’m allergic to almost all sun protections on the planet. I have psoriasis, eczema, contact dermatitis and rosacea. And I’m sensitive to smells and chemicals. So with all that- I found this sun protection in a compact form that has a matte finish. I absolutely love this. It doesn’t irritate my skin. It’s easy to apply. It’s great for travel. I use this when I’m driving long distance or flying because it helps protect my face from the dryness from the car or the plane. I don’t know if that’s a scientific fact, but it does make my skin less irritated after being in a car for 8 hours. This is my go-to sun protection. It doesn’t have a smell. And it’s not shiny. The only problem I have with this is the two colors are both too dark for my skin. I don’t mind, though. The fact that it protects my skin from the sun doesn’t have a weird smell and is comfortable for my stupid irritable skin is all that matters. I love the compact. It’s especially great for outdoor events. Went to football game last year, and my skin was comfortable and protected. The attached photos (green top) what my face looks like without anything for comparison. (pink tank top) show what the beige looks like on very fair skin. And last, outdoor (football game).Other Exceptional products from avene for sensitive/ irritable skinThe Xeracalm line is a life saver for someone with skin conditions. Xeracalm is great for easily irritated skin. The body wash and bar are my first line of defense when my skin is acting up. They essentially “put the fire out”. Xeracalm balm or cream are also nice for when my skins is angry. The thermal water mist is also a must have. It works great for calming my skin when it gets irritated but also cools it down when it is overheated from the rosacea. The soothing eye cream (which is discontinued now) was great for eyelid eczema. I found cicalfate plus works for my purposes on my eye area eczema. And the tolerance face balm is great when your skin is already upset. It helps to settle it down.

Looks great, 50 spf so no need for facial sunscreen, covers flaws. Pricey but worth trying.
I use only this in beige for foundation. It is kind of thick but surprisingly blends in to a light to medium skin tone. Best thing is it blocks sun damage with a 50 elf and covers many flaws.

Nice, but takes some experimenting
This took some experimenting but overall I like it. It’s basically a cream to powder mineral foundation compact that will give you some SPF and medium coverage of imperfections — if you try to go for full coverage it will look cakey and you’re better off applying it thinner and using concealer. You need to have exfoliated/moisturized/plump skin before applying because it will dry down to a matte finish and make ANY dry skin flakes obvious. It also does transfer to things like tissue and clothes, so it’s best followed with a little bit of a very fine setting powder. Because this doesn’t look good in a unilaterally thick layer on your face, it should really be used on top of another sunscreen to get adequate sun protection; I use it on top of the Avene liquid sunscreen, though it looks best when the sunscreen has a few minutes to sink in before applying this. I am several shades paler than the light shade of the compact, but its neutral color blends out nicely (less is more), so as long as I am careful not to overapply it just evens out my skin and gives me a little sun kissed glow. I have struggled with some melasma in the past year, and I find that this helps make it less noticeable without making it obvious I’m wearing makeup (which is not something I’ve been able to accomplish with my favorite tried and true concealers). This does not clog my pores at all and I feel like it lets my skin breathe much better than many products I’ve used in the past, though it is a mineral layer on your skin so it’s important to double wash your face at night and ensure you get it all off. I have tried to wash the applicator sponge but it’s too porous to really get clean, and I read on their website that the sponge isn’t really expected to be washed because the compact will only last for a month or two of daily use. The compact is good, albeit a bit bulky, but I wish they would offer a slightly nicer compact and simply sell refill pans and sponges… I intend to repurchase this, but given the environmental impact of the one-time use packaging and that the product transfers unless set with powder, I could still easily be swayed to try another product (especially once my melasma clears up some more).

Ich benutze das Avène Compact Farbige SPF 50 nun schon seit vielen Jahren und bin damit durchweg zufrieden. Ich habe lange nach einem Make-up gesucht, das einen hohen Lichtschutzfaktor bietet und gleichzeitig für sehr empfindliche Haut geeignet ist – etwas, das meine Haut nicht zusätzlich stresst. Durch meine Neurodermitis brauche ich ein Produkt, das Unebenheiten zuverlässig abdeckt, ohne die Haut zu reizen, und genau das leistet dieses Compact-Make-up.Die Deckkraft ist sehr gut: Hautschüppchen und Rötungen kann ich jederzeit problemlos kaschieren. Sehr praktisch finde ich außerdem den integrierten Spiegel – so muss ich nicht immer auf die Toilette rennen, um meinen Look zu überprüfen. Er passt in jede Handtasche, und selbst wenn ich das Make-up gerade nicht benutze, ich oft den Spiegel um schnell Lippenstift nachzutragen.Was die Farbtöne angeht, bietet Avène mehrere Varianten an. Für mich funktioniert der Beige-Ton im Winter perfekt, und im Sommer oder im Urlaub greife ich gern zum Sand-Ton. Beide sehen natürlich aus – nicht zu hell, nicht zu dunkel, und definitiv nicht fleckig oder unnatürlich.Großer Pluspunkt: Das Produkt ist wasserfest und bietet dadurch auch beim Schwimmen oder Schwitzen sehr guten Sonnenschutz. Für mich ein ideales Urlaubsprodukt.Der beiliegende Schwamm sollte natürlich regelmäßig gereinigt oder gelegentlich ersetzt werden, aber das ist bei jeder kompakten Foundation normal. Vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bin ich überzeugt: Es ist nicht das günstigste Produkt, aber es hält lange und funktioniert zuverlässig den ganzen Tag über.Fazit: Für empfindliche Haut und für alle, die zuverlässige Deckkraft mit hohem Sonnenschutz suchen, kann ich dieses Make-up absolut empfehlen.
