The BEST brown mascara!
I’m obsessed with the brand Heroine, and this mascara is no exception. The brown is such a great color for blondes! It’s not as harsh as black mascara, and I love that it stays put ALL day. It comes off easily with an oil makeup remover, but it doesn’t budge all day, it makes my eyelashes look long and fluffy, and I can wear it alone or with dramatic eyeshadow looks! I love the brush – it coats every single lash evenly and doesn’t clump up.

Great formula, but the brush is lacking.
I ONLY wear waterproof mascara- 365 days a year.I am incredibly fussy about the formulas I wear though and I basically want the product to be like cement (stays on until I remove it, no flakes, no smudges AND I don’t want my lashes to get brittle).This arrived super quick- the tube packaged in the blister pack, ensuring no adulteration.The curved brush here is ok. It makes costing the lashes (even the corners) easy, but I wish the bristles were closer together. Because there is a bit of space between the bristles, I feel like we are missing out on some of the volume- as the lashes tend to clump together a bit. Right after I apply this, I go back over my lashes with a new, clean brush to separate any/all of the lashes that stuck together. It’s an extra step I would rather not have to do, but it’s worth it because it makes a HUGE difference. The brush really needs to be changed because the formula is pretty great!The formula stays on quite well! You can cry in this, swim in it and sweat like crazy, and it’s NOT going to come off. It has some staying power and that is EXACTLY what I want in my WP mascara. It doesn’t smudge and flaking is minimal to non-existent.While this is some pretty heavy duty stuff (in terms of staying power), it doesn’t make my lashes brittle at all. That’s another huge plus and a very nice bonus. My lashes are nice and healthy.This can be a real pain to remove, IF you aren’t using the right thing.I have been using the same thing to remove my WP mascara (and again-I ONLY wear the strong stuff!) for years. It’s natural, it’s inexpensive and i is one of the only things that takes this off without lash loss or issue- straight, unrefined coconut oil! I use a pea sized amount of oil (usually in a semi-solid state because my house is always freezing) and rub it over/through my lashes. Sometimes I need to wipe off the first ‘round’ and go back in with new coconut oil, but this comes off great! The coconut oil is inexpensive, easy to find and rehydrates the lashes too. It’s the only thing I use and it works perfect for removing this super strong formula!This is a great mascara with some real staying power, but the brush doesn’t do the formula any justice. With the right brush, this stuff is pretty awesome!

Great for Natural Looks. Stays Put All Day
This mascara is perfect for days when I want a more natural, low key look. The formula is very lightweight, so it doesn’t clump or feel heavy on the lashes. I really like the small brush, it gives you more control and makes it easy to reach the corners without making a mess. It adds just enough length and definition without going overboard.One thing to note, this mascara does not budge. It’s truly waterproof and holds up through humidity, long days and even light workouts. That said, you’ll definitely need a good cleansing balm or oil-based remover to take it off at the end of the day. It’s not the kind of mascara you can just rinse off with soap and water.

Holy Grail product.
I have heard people rave on and on about this mascara for nearly 15 years now, but I was always a bit hesitant about ordering it, since importing Japanese beauty products can be a little bit tricky at times, so when I got the opportunity to try it through amazon, I had to jump at the chance.So, does it measure up to the hype? Well, it’s a little pricier than my typical choice of mascara, so I’d love to tell you that it doesn’t… but it absolutely does deserve all the praise. Wow! I have the worst lashes on the world – thin, straight, wispy and generally awful, but this actually holds a curl all day and WILL NOT flake. The flaking is particularly important, as I have insanely sensitive eyes that will be a streaming, itchy mess at the first sight of even minimal flaking. This does not MOVE, stays glued to my eyes firmly with zero issues.I’ve seen complaints that it is too hard to remove, but I haven’t had any issues. I massage a bit of Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil onto my lashes and it comes right off.Overall, this is my new ride or die, I strongly recommend trying it if you have sensitive eyes or straight lashes- you won’t be disappointed!

Not a lot of brown going on here – super reddish. With brownish dirty blond hair, did not suit me at all.If you are a redhead though and looking for a natural look, maybe it’s for you? Photo compare to an eyebrow pencil which is brownish’.Was not impressed with the consistency and freshness of the product though.

Made my lashes dry and brittle.
I really wanted to love this mascara because I’ve heard great things about HEROINE MAKE, but unfortunately, it didn’t work well for me. While it did provide some length and held a curl, the formula left my lashes feeling very dry, hard, and stiff. It was uncomfortable, and I worried about my lashes becoming brittle with continued use. It did not add any volume to my lashes and was very difficult to remove.

good mascara if you like this type of brush head
I don’t think this is real tubing mascara but it has similar properties. I am familiar with this brand as I’ve repurchased their mascara numerous times when I was traveling and living abroad. While this isn’t my favorite of their mascaras, it was worth a try and I think it did a pretty good job. I just personally prefer a thinner spool for application. Although this is waterproof I still have a tiny bit of smudging at the end of the day. I think it varies by person and their eye shape, for some reason I just get panda eyes at the end of the day. That said, it is waterproof so it might take some extra effort to remove it at the end of the day. I do recommend their light blue tube, which is mascara remover, as that works great for removing their mascara products. I think this is a good mascara to try if you’ve never used Heroine Make before. I love the brown, it looks nice, gives my eyes a softer look than the blackest black.
