I am currently peri-menopausal, so unfortunately, some of my facial hair is coming back.Things you should know when using these IPL devices:* They work best on darker, thicker hair. They will not work on peach fuzz, or blonde hair. Same goes for grey/white hair.* You have to zap the hair in the right phase in order for it to work (that’s the anagen phase).* Generally, the best you can expect is permanent hair *reduction*. You won’t get permanent hair removal.* You will be doing touch-ups for months/years. No biggie.* If your hormones change, hair may come back.I’ve been using IPL devices for about 20 years. It has drastically cut back the amount of dark, thick hair I have on my face. I’m now using these device to target my legs/thighs.This device is pretty easy to use, although I could not initially figure out how to increase the strength of the zap. It does have a continuous mode which is nice for when you’re doing your legs. It’s easy to hold and there is no pain when using the device. Build quality seems to be good, but not high-end. I’ve had no issues operating the device so far.So far, I like it. I am seeing reduction on my leg hair.

No problems even with fair skin
I received this as a gift and was hesitant to use it because I have never tried anything like this before. Since I had it though, I figured I would try it. I have been using it for about a week just under one arm, so that I could compare, and it has been working well. I have not been shaving since I started using it and have noticed little to no growth. I know it may take a few more treatments for the full effect but I am happy to keep using it. I will definitely be trying it on my legs after I do the other arm :)One of my hesitations to try it is because I have fair skin, and some people said that it felt like it burned them. I decided to try just one small section and then increase the area the next few uses. I have had no issues with that at all; I have only used it on the manual setting, lowest level, though.

Easy to use, not painful
I have tried professional laser hair removal, but found it difficult to make it to every appointment, not to mention the pain. This device is not nearly as painful, and as such I worry about the effectiveness. That said, I did my bikini area and underarms twice a week for 2 consecutive weeks and had great results. My legs are where I really need to see improvement, as I have very dark roots.Using this is very easy, but there is a delay between flashes – it isn’t as quick as I would like – as you can tell from the video. I’ve not been good about staying on a schedule with it, as 2-3 times per week seems excessive. It took me significantly longer than the “3-5 minutes for full body” it advertises. I would say it took more than 10 minutes just for my legs.If you can stick to the regimen, I have no doubt you will see results, but for me, large areas like my legs just took too much time.
