Works great – I would recommend
When the original Epilady for the legs came out, my Mom and I both used it. Now, neither one of us has hair on our legs; the Epilady caused the hair to stop growing. I love never having to shave anymore! So when I saw that they now have one for the face, I decided to try it. And it’s just as good as the other one. Hopefully, this will, eventually, keep the hair from growing there, too.I don’t find that this product hurts. I can feel the hair being removed, but it’s not a painful thing for me.I’ve read through some of the other reviews, and I may have some helpful hints.1) Pull the skin tight in the area that you’re going over. You need to get the hair into the coil as well as keep the skin away. Doing this will prevent you from having the skin pulled up into it (which doesn’t hurt but does feel odd).2) Slowly but continuously. You need to keep the unit going over the area in a continuous motion. However, don’t rush it. You need to allow enough time for the hairs to get caught – it’s not doing that if you’re moving it too quickly.3) It works best if you use it daily for the first week or two. Doesn’t have to be a long time each session, but doing it every day will allow the shorter hairs to grow just enough to get caught – without allowing them to be so long that they’re unsightly.4) If you’re finding that it’s not removing the hair properly, you may not be allowing the coil to get to the hair. Be sure that you’re holding it such that it’s flat against the skin (put your forefinger on it like you’re pointing at something and then rest the unit on your face such that your finger is parallel to your face). If you’re not holding it so that the hair is allowed to get in there, it’s not going to work. Remember that what it’s doing is providing an “automatic tweezer” type of removal – hair has to be in there to tweeze.5) Be sure that you’re going in all directions. This is why going in a circular motion is helpful. Hair grows at different angles on your face. Therefore, you need to catch it in the way that it comes out easily. This may be why some reviewers are finding that it’s not removing a particular type of hair. If you’re not finding that it’s getting the hair in one area of your face, it could be that you’re trying to remove it in the wrong direction. Try going in the other direction on the hair, and it’ll catch. This tip also helps with any discomfort you may have with the product. If you’re trying to remove hair against the grain, you’re going to feel it more than if you’re pulling it out in the direction that it grows.I do recommend this product. If it’s used correctly, it does work. And, if it proves to be as great as the original Epilady, I won’t have to use it forever. The hair will stop growing in this area!

Doesn’t pull regular hairs!
I bought a brand name, thinking it would be worth having. I was wrong. This is a simple spring coil. It turns with no real power to pluck stray facial hairs. It does seem to snag tiny peach fuzz a bit but if it grabs a thick chin hair, it just yanks and pulls skin, like someone pulling a hair but not actually removing it. So, it hit the same hair repeatedly and doesn’t pull it out. This was a huge waste of time and money. I missed the return window, as I forgot about it, after my initial disappointment. I’ll look for a better design because this one doesn’t work for me.

It works
This is a fantastic tool. The comments threw me off. I’m thinking that maybe they had different instructions. The item has a sticker and said use circular motions. Well, that is what I did. I don’t have a lot of facial hair but enough stragglers to be noticeable.Based on some of the reviews, here are some recommendations:1. Wash face and hand before use2. Sit it a comfortable spot ( for areas that require precision – use a mirror )3. Pull skin taut and go in small circles clockwise and the counterclockwise until you feel no pulls4. Wash hands and device

It does work, But.
I purchased my epilady 3 years ago. I decided to make a review now I’m purchasing a similar type of product and I felt the need to explain why I chose not to buy another epilady. I marked off 2 stars for 2 reasons. The first is because it’s uses AA batteries. I’ll get 2 maybe 3 good uses out of a good quality battery before it slows down and becomes more painful. Rechargeable AA are only good for 1 use. The second reason I must first say it has no problem with peach fuzz. Unfortunately I have 5 hairs on my chinny chin chin that are thicker than my epilady can’t pull out. It pulls my skin into its springs. Not good!! I try to make sure I pull those hairs out first!

Not exactly as expected
worked, but not as well as expected. Thought it would remove shorter hair growth. I’ll probably try a different one.

Doesn’t work on thick hair
It works on peach fuzz but doesn’t even recognize seemingly stubborn thick chin hair. Hasn’t picked up one yet. Waste of my money really. I won’t even send it to goodwill. I never think of a product this poorly. Sorry epilady. You need to work on improving this product. There is a market for it.

Really wanted this to work as well as the corded one purchased 30 years ago.
Did it pull hair out of my face. Yes and no. Did this in front of a 10x lighted, makeup mirror so I could see if hair was actually being pulled out. Know what this should feel like as I had one of the original corded Epilady devices for use on legs from about 30 years ago and I still have very little hair on the legs after using it for 5 years. Where did it pull the hair out? The longer hairs (about 3/8 inch or longer) around hairline near ears and jaw area came out easily. Where did it not pull hair out? Shorter hairs near center of face, chin and upper lip area did not get pulled out. Did one very small area (approximately 2 to 3 square inches for 5 minutes (Yes, I used a timer, this was an experiment) turning and repositioning the devise every which way and a couple of those which ways, even with a good amount of pulling the skin tight, still managed to grab some skin. Ouch. Over the 5 minutes of moving the wire part of the devise over the small area in the recommended circular motion and keeping it moving because, yes it does heat up as other reviewers have mentioned, only felt maybe 3 hairs actually pull out and visually, there was no noticeable difference in the before and after number of facial hairs. The hair on my face is mostly light-colored peach fuzz with a smattering of heavier hairs thrown in for good measure. This battery powered version of a really great product, the original corded Epilady, just does not have the juice to get the job done. If it gets redesigned and maybe corded, would give it another go. Currently have one of the brands that has the tweezing mechanism but would say they more pinches the hair off than pulling it out.

I have an older model that works so well that I purchased another one since it is getter old. The new one is a bit smaller and does not work as well. Still okay, but not what I was expecting.

Bought this to replace some other make Bayliss I think This is far superior, didn’t find it hard to use at all really pleased with it and don’t find it at all uncomfortable.

Finally I found something that works to take the blond mustache off my upper lip. It does sting a tad, but if you follow instructions it isnot bad at all. Would definitely recommend this product
